5 Reasons why we miss One Direction's On The Road Again Tour

It’s been just over five months since One Direction finished their On The Road Again Tour in Sheffield and we’re still figuring out how to deal with the fact that we don’t know when we’ll see them on stage again. To make the wait extra painful, we’re here to remind you of some of the reasons why you miss the On The Road Again Tour.

5. Lilo

What the Where We Are Tour was for Lirry, was the On The Road Again Tour for Lilo. Not a night went by where Louis and Liam could leave each other alone and we honestly don’t want to know how much silly string has been wasted by the two lads during the On The Road Again Tour. But who can complain about wasted silly string and water fights when they look so utterly adorable whilst doing it?

4. The rainbows

Now, we were already well aware of the fact that Harry Styles is an all-round incredible human being before the On The Road Again Tour even started, but for those who were still blind to this, Harry took the matter in his own hands – literally. Night after night, Harry paraded around the stage waving rainbow flags, supporting for his LGBTQ+ fans and spreading the love. We can’t even begin to describe how important it is that a band with such a massive fanbase as One Direction shows support for the LGBTQ+ community and we’re incredibly proud of the lads for doing so.

3. All the water fights

We know we already mentioned the fact that Louis and Liam quite enjoyed some banter during the On The Road Again Tour, but just in case it wasn’t clear: there were a lot of water fights during this tour. Mostly just between Louis and Liam, but even Niall and Harry got sucked in at times, though it doesn’t seem like Louis is trying very hard in this gif. Make of that what you will.

2. No Control

During the incredibly long and incredibly boring break before the start of the European leg of the On The Road Again Tour, One Direction fans showed how amazing they are by basically self-releasing No Control as a single. Of course the initiative was a massive success. The song got played on radio stations all over the world and it didn’t take long for the lads themselves to hear about Project No Control. On June 13th, the boys finally added No Control to the setlist and we could not have been happier.

1. The rise of OT4

We’re not gonna pretend the On The Road Again tour was all sunshine and butterflies – on March 25th, our OT5 hearts were broken by Zayn’s departure and we would be lying if we said we haven’t been worried about the future of the other lads after that. But during the rest of the tour and in the months after that, the remaining One Direction members have continuously shown that they are here to stay and we couldn’t be more grateful. Here’s to Liam, Niall, Louis and Harry. Thanks for staying.
