An Adelaide mum who ate McDonald’s every day during pregnancy looks unrecognisable after shedding an incredible 38 kilos.

Her impressive weight loss has even seen the mum swap jobs for a lucrative career as an OnlyFans model.

Alex Moore, 24, saw her body gain weight after eating Quarter Pounders, Big Macs, chicken nuggets and chocolate fudge sundaes.

The former dental nurse found out she was pregnant with her daughter Alora at the end of 2019.

But about midway through, she began to eat unhealthily and gained 34kg.

“I really stacked on the weight – I was working long hours as a dental nurse and would eat McDonald’s at least once a day,” Ms Moore said.

“I was starting early I’d usually get hash brown, egg and bacon muffin and hot chocolate for breakfast.

“And then for lunch I’d order a Quarter Pounder or Big Mac meal, a chocolate sundae and extra chicken nuggets with mayo.

“My mental health throughout most of my pregnancy was fine, however I did struggle towards the end realising how much weight I had gained and not recognising myself.”

Fed up with her “mum tum” and weighing 83 kilos, she took on a “strict military regimen”, vowing to get into shape by swapping burgers for protein-rich meals.

Ms Moore launched into daily 5am visits to the gym and walked 6km a day, with each work out taking two-and-a-half hours.

After showing remarkable dedication, the mum-of-one managed to shed six stone in nine months and is now in better shape than before she had children.

The new mum had welcomed her daughter in May 2020 – but found herself feeling uncomfortable with her body.

“I didn’t want to go out anywhere to show her off, I just wanted to hide away,” Ms Moore said.

“I felt guilty I’d given birth to a beautiful baby girl but I was so embarrassed about how I looked so never wanted my picture taken with her.

“I constantly heard was ‘your body will never be the same’ and ‘you will always have a mum tum, learn to love it’.

“I didn’t want to be like that, so I used it as motivation.”

Ms Moore decided that enough was enough and began to get in shape by hitting the gym and overhauling her diet.

“I worked my a** off at the gym going at 5am every morning and going for 6km walks every day,” she said.

While Ms Moore initially ate “three small meals” a day she has now found a “healthy relationship with food and exercise”.

“Now I have larger meals and snacks,” she said.

“I don’t really count macros, or calories. I just try to eat mainly whole foods, regularly.

“I eat three main meals a day and have a snack in the morning which may be a protein bar, protein shake or a bit of fruit.

“In the afternoon I snack on a yoghurt but I try to listen to my body.

“I no longer turn down opportunities to eat out, and enjoy treats without guilt.”

Alongside her healthy diet, Ms Moore decided to ditch cardio and HIIT workouts in favour of weight training in a bid to gain lean muscle.

Ms Moore says her meals are now bigger than what they were before – but packed with nutritious ingredients.

So far she has lost 38 kilos – and is healthier than ever.

Her impressive weight loss has even let Ms Moore change careers, swapping dental nursing for the glamorous life of an OnlyFans model.

“I saw it as a good source of income being a single mum having my daughter majority of the time,” Ms Moore said.

“Now I can spend my days with Alora, and still make a good income.”

Ms Moore explained she hopes others feel inspired by her weight loss journey.

“I really want to show other mums what you can achieve when you set goals and are determined enough to achieve them,” Ms Moore said.

“I also want people to know that it’s important not to neglect self-care just because you’re a mother – you’re allowed to treat yourself and do things just for yourself.”
