The Game Awards 2023: Guests and full list of winners
Taking place in the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles, the annual awards show was live streamed around the globe, and you can check out the whole event down below.
The event hasn't been without controversy, however, as many feel that in a year of a record number of developers being laid off, there should have been some sort of acknowledgement.

How to watch The Game Awards 2023
The Game Awards 2023 was available to watch live on YouTube when it broadcasted on Friday 8th December. You can watch it now by using the embedded video above.
The line-up of guests and presenters was substantial, with Christopher Judge, Timothée Chalamet, Vince Zampella, Caroline Marchal, Zedd, Gonzo from The Muppets and the cast of the new Amazon Fallout TV show all appearing.
The Game Awards Orchestra also performed a medley of songs from the Game of the Year nominees, which is always a treat. Poets of the Fallen from Alan Wake 2 made an eccentric appearance, too.
When was The Game Awards 2023?
The Game Awards 2023 took place on 8th December 2023.
The annual event usually takes place around this time of year, with the 2022 event being held on 9th December 2022, so it’s no surprise to see it landing in the holiday season once more.
It’s a great way for last-minute Christmas shoppers to see what games are safe bets to buy for their friends and loved ones – one that is far easier to parse through for non-gamers than when such awards were featured only in magazines.

What UK time did The Game Awards 2023 start?
The Game Awards 2023 started at 12:30am UK time on Friday 8th December 2023 with a 30-minute pre-show.
It then went into the main show at 1am before running for around two and a half hours - so it was a late night for anyone here in the UK who watched it live.
