Basketball coach who began coaching the University of Virginia men’s basketball team in 2009. Bennett went on to be selected in the 1992 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets. He spent three seasons (1992–1995) with the Hornets as the backup point guard to Muggsy Bogues (the Hornets’ all-time leader in assists and steals) before a foot injury ended Bennett’s NBA career.
